On Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, Samantha Salamon (Chief Counsel, ASIA Inc.) and Amanda Smith (Ahimsa Program Manager, ASIA Inc.) delivered "Best practices in providing culturally specific services for immigrant and refugee survivors of crime" as an All Staff DEI training at VAP.

Session Objectives:
1. Describing culture and its importance for immigrant and refugee survivors.
2. Defining cultures and languages in the NE Ohio region.
3. Identifying best practices when working with survivors who are from immigrant and refugee communities.

For those unable to attend in person, this course contains:

1. The video recording of that presentation,
2. The presentation slides,
3. An online activity delivered during the presentation, and
4. A post-course survey.

Please complete all items in this course by EOB November 2, 2024, to receive credit. SW CEUs are available for this course.
